In this 1740 document there is one of the first references to ayahuasca, called in the paper ayahuassa (p. 164) Full title : Brief description of the Province of Quito, in southern America, and of its Missions of Religious successes of S. Franc. And Maynas from PP. from the Comp. Jhs' s. on the banks of the great Rio Marañón, made for the map that was made in 1740, by Fr. Juan Magnin, of dha. Comp.8, missionary on these Missions.
