Tests with harmine in met-encephalitics.

Pages: 613 - 614

Abstract

In any case, Harmlne compared with banisterine seems to have an effect on the extrapyramidal system in common, although it does not seem to be as constant as Beringer indicates from Banlsterine. Because of the considerable volatility of the harmine, its pharmacological suitability in the therapy of the extrapyramidal syndrome is, provisionally, the same as for the banisterine : Both preparations are not to be used therapeutically, as long as it is not possible to assess fully their effects.
