Abstract

The devil's weed. Indigenous America, VIII, n. 3, Mexico 1948, pp. 165-169. It deals with the herb's drink in the mythology of the Guarani of Paraguay, which they consider this plant, next to the manioc, "as one of the most precious donations of the mythical benefactor Tumé or Sumé, also known among the Tupinamba and later identified with the Sao Tomé.
