San Pedro cactus in Peruvian popular medicine.

Abstract

Apprentie priest, potter, fisherman, but also artist, Galvaez practised many professions before receiving from Shamans from Peru the secret of the San Pedro cactus: mescaline. Thanks to this powerful hallucinogen, it can finally "see" the supernatural world. Each trance allows the shaman to cure diseases and possessions. From these experiences, Galvaez has drawn an amazing philosophy mixing Indian traditions, Catholic dogma and psychedelic practices, all of which are doubled with an unrelenting question of the subconscious.
