Drugs are situated differently among cultural contexts in human societies. From occidental consumption « without setting » to shamanic ritual utilisation, the use of substances such as hallucinogens is a pertinent indicator for approaching fundamental differences, concerning knowledge, nature of reality and self-conception, relation to others and world.
