In this interdisciplinary congress, the work I will present to you is deliberately located at the border between nature and social sciences. More specifically, between ethnobotanic and health anthropology. It is also clear from the outset that this presentation is largely based on a multi-year personal experience in a health program alongside Amazon’s ayahuasqueros shamans. And therefore, the Shamanic trance which serves as the basis for this presentation refers to a particular psychic state induced by the absorption of a vegetable preparation called ayahuasca in Quichua.
