This volume is an important contribution to the field of transnational studies, as most of the contributors demonstrate that the circulation of religious ideas, goods, and practices is not necessarily bounded to migrants who bring their religions with them when they move to another country—a perspective that is still dominant in studies of transnationalism and religion.
