If mythology is a form of knowledge shared by all Sharanahua, Sharanahua is an institution whose importance continues to decline. The village of Gasta Bala is home to one real shaman, wharf, and this one may be the best connoisseur of this tradition. The Sharanahua has an ambivalent attitude towards the future disappearance of that shamanism. On the one hand, they remind them how useful the shaman was to them at some point in their lives where the latter saved them. On the other hand, they see the disappearance of witchcraft and all these diseases, which only a shaman could be responsible. In this way, they finally have little commitment to this form of knowledge and now prefer to move towards nursing training that some NGOs offer. The initiation that this function demands is infinitely better than the one required by shamanism.
