As a whole, the emergence of all these new forms of religiosity, framed in academic literature such as the New Religious Movements (NMR) has undermined the modern conception of the progressive advance of scientific thought over religions, mainly in Uruguay and its model of secularity. So the NMR began to grow in different socio-cultural sectors, following in most cases imported models rehabilitated to local conditions. They are not mere recreational spaces, but are sources of religiosity and beliefs that fill the lives of their participants with meaning and meaning, and therefore respect for these practices is important as respect for the diversity of worship and belief.
