What I propose in writing this essay is to elaborate a synthesis of the historical path of the entoegenic tradition, as well as its relationship to the shamanistic phenomenon within some ethnic groups based on the work of anthropologists of psychedelia, in order to promote an exercise of reflection on the prejudices and abuses that contemporary Mexican society has developed on the subject.
