This work shows that there is a plurality of conceptions of what is therapeutic. The Commission has also made a proposal for a directive on the protection of the environment. If science is up to assess the therapeutic possibilities, or the development of new types of therapy with the use of ayahuasca, it is necessary that researchers also develop methodological ways to cover the experience of the context and relations of individuals and that can also take into account the effect of ayahuasca as an imponderable event. These are all questions that open up with this work, and it is expected to contribute to the public and scientific discussion around Ayahuasca and to the possible regulation of their therapeutic use.
