Traditional medicine of the Amazon has become a global phenomenon. Rituals are currently organized not only in South America, but also in European countries, North America and Australia. Because of legal regulations in the Czech Republic, the users of traditional Amazonian medicine create a subculture. In order to investigate this phenomenon, we did literature review and conducted semi-structured interviews with participents of rituals during a year since November 2015 (n= 48). The investigation was focused on the therapeutic potential of the traditional Amazonian medicine. Our results demonstrate that it might be applied in the treatment of lifestyle diseases.
