These stories were collected from one of the “Shamanic Centres”, which recently increased on the edge of the Peruvian Amazon metropolis. These institutions, based on the partnership of Westerners and Métis or Aboriginal premises, offer international clients participation in ritual activities that are more or less freely inspired by Peruvian curanderism practices, such as ritualized use of emetics or ayahuasca psychotropic beverage.
