The native Shipibo-Konibo (SK) communities of the Ucayali region use medicinal plants from time immemorial to the present, based on their knowledge and uses to cure certain diseases. Medicinal plants are an alternative until today for disease treatments in SK communities, compared to pharmaceutical and other medicines, which are not available in native communities, which indicates the value of our medicinal plant resources. Consequently, research should be deepened and the uses they have resolved, especially their preservation so that they are not lost.
