Does public perception shape the way ayahuasca is represented in the media or is the media that shapes public perception? To understand the representations of the Amazon tea in the press, this article describes a brief history of psychodelic relationship with communication vehicles in the USA and Brazil. And it reflects on how the Amazon drinking is represented today.
