William S. Burroughs gave me some of my best research ideas. He helped me understand that the arbitrary line between art and science should be rubbed out, that nothing of importance ever happens as a consequence of blind luck. Art is a complementary source of truth that enlists the help of imagination to transport science beyond the acquisition of fact.
