Science and shamanism have fundamentally different methods. Science seeks to formulate hypotheses, which can be tested in a repeatable fashion by anybody anywhere. Whereas an individual’s experience of modified consciousness cannot be reproducible. You cannot hallucinate the same thing twice. Nor can someone else hallucinate your visions.
