This contribution (in French) to the catalogue of the exhibition “Visions chamaniques” (Musée du Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac, Paris, 2023-2024) describes modern myths and popular interpretations around the use of ayahuasca, singing, and arts among the Shipibo-Conibo. These modern, colonial re-interpretations are juxtaposed to Indigenous Knowledge as formulated by Indigenous specialists and based on ethnographic research. It concludes with a comparison of the positions of contemporary shaman-tourists and former spirits and non-human agents.
